What is Somatic Coaching?

Somatics is the practice of tuning into the body’s wisdom to release tension, restore balance, and heal from within. Rooted in neuroscience and body awareness, it helps restore a sense of safety in the nervous system, especially for those healing from stress, trauma, or chronic dysregulation.

Talk Therapy versus Somatics

Unlike traditional talk therapy, which focuses on processing through words, somatics works directly with the body’s felt experience. Many emotions, memories, and traumas are stored in the body—somatic practices help release them without needing to retell the story.

Is Somatics for Me?

How I Was Empowered To Heal

About Me

Hi, I’m Des- a Somatic Practitioner, Yoga & Meditation Teacher, and the creator of the Be Well Method.
My work is rooted in the belief that true healing happens when we reconnect to the wisdom of our bodies.

My journey into holistic healing began when I started practicing yoga as a teen and my passion for deeper studies came when I watched a close loved one suffer from chronic illness for years, with little relief from conventional approaches. Searching for alternatives, I discovered the power of the body-mind connection and witnessed firsthand the transformational effects of somatic practices, nervous system regulation, and gentle movement.

I have since dedicated myself to supporting others on their healing path — guiding people to feel safe, empowered, and at home in their bodies. Through my training in yoga, meditation, somatic therapy, and holistic healing, I offer a compassionate and trauma-sensitive approach to personal transformation.

When I'm not holding space for others, I'm living life fully as a soon-to-be mom, continuously learning from both professional studies and life's organic lessons.
